Poorganization
      Oh the wonders or recycling.  I believe in saving our Earth and am always trying to save a bit of money.  I used to work full time for a major retail company but am now on disability after having my lower leg amputated. Ironically I now have more time for my hobbies, but significantly less money. So, as the saying goes, necessity is the mother of all invention.  Needing tidy storage for small items I really love those compartmentalized organizer boxes available almost everywhere, but I really didn’t like the price tag attached to them. I had an "Aha" moment one day when changing the scented wax cube for the warmer.  I thought to myself "now these are pretty nifty" and started reusing them for stowing small items.  The wax cubes are available from any large box store and most people just throw these little treasures into the trash.  Its always a good day when you can save both the planet and your wallet!  In this example I am sorting beads, but these boxes can also be great for jewelry, especially when traveling, buttons...the options are endless. 
  
As with all things there are some advantages and disadvantages of reusing these containers a few of which include:

Pros

  • Easily cleaned 
  • Stores flat, hung or on its side
  • Clear packaging 
  • Consistently sized for stacking/storing
  • Lid is attached and fits securely


Cons

  •  Tiny items will move freely throughout the container  
    • A piece of foam core board helps with this problem 
  • You can go completely insane trying to organize everything
    • You can actually get too organized 
    • Keep it simple

Dollar Tree Pill Organizers   One of the many things I try to get better at is organizing.  I also love to find the least inexpensive options I can. I am a firm believer in trash to treasure and in finding alternative uses things I already own.  Its my many small steps to making a smaller footprint (should be even easier for me as I only have one foot LOL) and doing my part in preserving our environment and Earth. This one of my favorite POORGANIZATION tricks. Cheap, easy, and effective all rolled into one.      When I was a teenager--ya, that was a while ago, but I still remember most of it--my Grandpa made all of us girls a jewelry box for Christmas. It was and still is one of my most important treasures.  It is made of beautiful cedar with a flip up lid and two divided pull-out drawers.
