Dollar Tree Pill Organizers
Dollar Tree Pill Organizers
Months later another of our daughters
brought me a pill organizer that was too small for her needs. Naturally I kept
it thinking I could eventually find a use for it as it really was too small for all but
the smallest of medications…The next time I was looking for something for in my
jewelry box those pill organizers popped right into my brain.
My chains now stay neatly coiled, my ear rings are never jumbled together like a singles bar looking for a mate, and I have infinite possibilities in organization. Small items fit neatly inside the pill containers, but some larger charms wouldn’t allow the lids to snap neatly in place. While other items weren't able to fit in the containers at all. My solution was to use the containers without the lids for necklaces etc. and then used the unused lids to compartmentalize the shallow boxes I already had. WIN WIN! To make it all even better, the pill organizers I used at available at any Dollar Tree https://www.dollartree.com for--you guessed it--$1.00! Happy Poorganization!!
One of the
many things I try to get better at is organizing. I also love to find the
least inexpensive options I can. I am a firm believer in trash to treasure and
in finding alternative uses things I already own. Its my many small steps
to making a smaller footprint (should be even easier for me as I only have one
foot LOL) and doing my part in preserving our environment and Earth. This
one of my favorite POORGANIZATION tricks. Cheap, easy, and effective all rolled
into one.
When I was a teenager--ya, that was a while ago, but I still remember most of
it--my Grandpa made all of us girls a jewelry box for Christmas. It was and
still is one of my most important treasures. It is made of beautiful cedar
with a flip up lid and two divided pull-out drawers. The top and first drawer
are lined with gem toned blue cloth. Every time I look at it I am comforted with
happy memories of Sundays at the ranch and the underlying scent of sawdust
clinging to every breeze.
I have had difficulty keeping it neat and
my necklace chains always came out looking like a snake mating ball. I have
used jewelry gift boxes to help keep items separated but they still allowed
chains to tangle and I still had to hunt for earring pairs. Then I had an AHA moment and came up with a
better alternative.
We bought a dorm refrigerator for one of
our daughters and she laughed at the size of the ice cube tray and then went to
throw it in the trash. I promptly dug it back out and put it in the cabinet
knowing I would find a use for it one day… That day came the next time is was
rooting for an elusive ear ring mate.
What better organizer than a tiny ice cube tray? It worked great!! Then I decided I needed at
least three more and the thrift store hunt began. I have yet to find one which
leads me to believe that either many others have found the indispensable value
of these, or like mine, ended up in a landfill. Sigh…
