Wild Scarves Wednesday, January 31, 2018 5:48 PM Wild Scarf Here in Oklahoma the winter winds can really blow a cold chill right down your spine; that is unless you have one of these fantasticly wild scarves.  I am a thrift store junkie, but I pass down most of my purchases in one way or another.  One hot summer day I got a whole bag of scarves for $1. Some were nabbed up by the kids right away, but there were a few that remained in the basket.  The dust bunnies in my brain finally got to hopping and I, with the help of Miss Erica (my middle granddaughter who shares my questionable fashion sense), whipped up her wild scarf.   This scarf was a tiger print which Erica loves but any color or print can be used. I found a complimentary small stuffed animal, similar to "Beanie Babies" but in this case also a thrift store find. Scented Wax Packages Tuesday, November 07, 2017 4:47 PM   Poorganization       Oh the wonders or recycling.  I believe in saving our Earth and am always trying to save a bit of money.  I used to work full time for a major retail company but am now on disabili ty after having my lower leg amputated. Ironically I now have more time for my hobbies, but significantly less money. So, as the saying goes, necessity is the mother of all invention.  Needing tidy storage for small items I really love those compartmentalized organizer boxes available almost everywhere, but I really didn’t like the price tag attached to them. I had an "Aha" moment one day when changing the scented wax cube for the warmer.  I thought to myself "now these are pretty nifty" and started reusing them for stowing small items.  The wax cubes are available from any large box store and most people just throw these little treasures into the trash.  Its always a g...
